IIMAN Care Strategic Vision

"Serving those too often left behind"

IIMAN Care was established to address persistent gaps in access to health services and to reduce disparities experienced by visible minorities and underserved populations. We exist to ensure that families and individuals who are often left behind can access affordable childcare, respite care, primary healthcare, and other essential supports. Our work focuses on building equity, improving health outcomes, and creating inclusive pathways so that every community member has the opportunity to thrive.

Our Vision

A community where visible minorities and underserved populations have equitable access to health care, social supports, and opportunities to thrive in dignity and well-being.

Our Mission

IIMAN Care works to close the gap in health and social service access by providing culturally responsive, affordable, and inclusive supports. Through collaboration with families, caregivers, and communities, we deliver services such as respite care, primary healthcare navigation, childcare access, and wellness programs that empower individuals, strengthen families, and advance equity.

Strategic Pillars

Equity in Access

IIMAN Care is committed to eliminating barriers that prevent visible minorities and underserved families from accessing essential health and social services. This means providing affordable respite care, childcare, and healthcare navigation, while also tailoring services to be culturally and linguistically responsive. By bridging these access gaps, we help individuals and families benefit from the supports they are entitled to and improve their overall quality of life.

Community Empowerment

We believe that sustainable change comes from within the community. IIMAN Care works to build the confidence, skills, and capacity of families, caregivers, and individuals to advocate for their own needs. Through education, outreach, and peer-support networks, we strengthen community voices, foster leadership, and encourage participation in decision-making processes. Empowered communities are better able to break cycles of poverty, exclusion, and poor health outcomes.

Holistic Care and Well-Being

Health and well-being are interconnected. Our approach recognizes the importance of addressing physical, mental, social, and cultural needs together. IIMAN Care delivers integrated programs that support the whole person and the whole family—ranging from childcare and respite services to mental health support, wellness education, and culturally appropriate health practices. This holistic model ensures that families do not have to choose between competing priorities, but instead receive comprehensive care.

Partnerships and Advocacy

No single organization can address systemic inequities alone. IIMAN Care works collaboratively with healthcare providers, social agencies, policymakers, and community leaders to expand resources and advocate for systemic change. By raising awareness of the unique barriers faced by visible minorities, we influence policy and funding decisions while creating a stronger, more inclusive support network. These partnerships amplify impact, allowing us to scale solutions and drive long-term equity.
